Event highlightsThe night was memorable because of our guests. Friends, old and new, participated in the dining experience. Browse the photos of our guests' experience, and then see below for the food and art pairings. Local artist, Brent Holland of Studio Holland Art and French Master Chef, David Baruthio of BARU 66, collaborated on an experience Des Moines never saw before. Chef Baruthio created a ‘one night only,' three-course, Mediterranean meal at Bistro Nomad, that was inspired by Holland's artwork, which is architectural in nature and exhibited at the pop-up art gallery in the restaurant. Local jazz favorites John Krantz and Steve Charlson performed jazz ballads. You can still view that artwork which remains on display at Bistro Nomad. Let us know what you think about it. Food pairings with ArtMany thanks to the partners and patrons of Studio Holland Art!

Whenever there is a gathering among stars from different fields, I couldn’t help but to get excited on what they will come up to. We all know that collaborations among artists bring nothing but good art, that’s why many are actually looking forward for it! At the same time, the fact that Studio Holland Art participated and let their knowledge be heard through Mr. Brent Holland is nothing but a good idea. Hopefully, rookie artists were also given the chance to participate so they could have used it as the medium where they can cater what they can do.
